Okay this is kinda  a dark topic for a jesting title but that's just my style laugh at the darker things in life. Now to the topic at hand in today's paper and yes i do read good old ink and paper news more fun that way, a person wrote a comment about how their going to be gassing wolf pups to help keep the population of certain animals up mainly the ones hunters from out of state or even in state hunt for fun not to eat just for trophies. Now I don't have issues with hunting for food that's the law of the multiverse but for trophies I do. Now my big problem here is that to me at least killing of wolves or any other animal just to make it so there are more animals like moose to put on your wall just irks me well beyond irk but it will do. So my question is this do you guys think it's right to kill these wolves to keep select population levels high for both subsistence hunters and game hunters when to me subsistence hunting should be the only kind and could leave more wolves and animals alive. So lets see what you guys think should we kill wolves or let them live and adjust how we hunt. Oh and in Alaska for those who don't know some families alot in fact NEED to hunt to live they don't have much choice considering the food and fuel costs in the villages.

I do not support aerial hunting of wolves, nor the gassing of defenseless pups.
The wolf was once a symbol of the honorable warrior, and we need to give them the respect they deserve and leave them alone and letting them do the role nature gave them.
If we are to hunt wolves, they deserve the chance to defend themselves. If we are to hunt wolves, let it be a ground hunt, and a match of wits, as it was long ago.

Aerial "Hunting" is not a hunt. It's a massacre.
Gassing pups is cruel and unethical.

These cruel methods must be abolished as soon as possible. It's that simple.

Any biologist worth their stuff knows that aerial hunting is at best only a temporary solution to declining moose populations (and, for that matter, only a fragment of the issue as a whole). If, say, all wolves were wiped out, then moose populations would rise. Moose would be everywhere, and hunters could go out and do their thing. However, a rising, unstable moose population means that they would eat everything in sight. (Disease and genetic disorders would also decimate them.) No food, no moose. Imagine a giant long-legged lemming for a minute.

Wolves hunt and eat only weak moose. Hunters, of all stripes, should really be down on their knees praying that the wolves will do that for eons to come.

So yes, I am against aerial 'hunting' (if you can call it that) and gassing of wolf pups, not only because it is a sickening practice, but also because moose need wolves to keep the former from wiping itself out. Then no one will be happy.
